The area around the Peakini Farmhaus, like the whole of the Tauern region, offers wonderful hikes through the alpine landscape. Whether you choose a leisurely stroll or a challenging hike to the summit, an educational trail or a guided hike, there’s something here to get everyone out into the fresh air.
Mountain Biking
The Bikers Paradise: That’s what we like to call our region in Salzburgerland. Numerous kilometers of the finest bike trails are at your feet. From gentle forest and meadow paths to spectacular up and downhill trails. With e-bikes, your own pedal power is supported by a rechargeable battery, making even steep tracks a pure delight and enabling even less experienced cyclists to climb peaks and explore alpine pastures. Stoneman Taurista

The Stoneman Taurista – it leads you over 123 kilometers and an enormous 4,500 meters of altitude to breathtaking panoramas, lush alpine meadows, rustic mountain huts and the summit crosses of the Salzburger Land. The Peakini Farmhaus – set against the stunning mountain backdrop of the Hohe Tauern – is the perfect place to start this extraordinary mountain bike adventure.
Fishing
Home-grown vegetables taste particularly good with fish you have caught yourself. Try your luck with fresh mountain trout and the particularly tasty char in the pond at the wildlife park in Untertauern or go fly fishing in Taurachbach creek in Obertauern.

A wonderful route runs along the Taurach through the captivating natural landscape. Sporting activity with an extra helping of fresh air – from Untertauern to Radstadt.
Winter wonderland

The perfect starting point for unforgettable ski tours. What could be better than making the first tracks in deep snow on wide slopes? Some of the most beautiful ski tours in SalzburgerLand, the Radstadt and Obertauern regions, are waiting to be discovered. Here within a radius of only 40 kilometers you will find a whole range of ski tours that will make your heart beat faster. By the way: If you want to be on the safe side with your tour, we recommend a state-certified tour guide.
Skiing
The ultimate hotspot for winter sports enthusiasts. What is there left to say about skiing in SalzburgerLand and especially in Obertauern? Guaranteed snow, the best piste conditions over 100 fantastic kilometers, runs of various degrees of difficulty, rustic huts – hardly any other region is such a byword for perfect winter sports as ours is.
This paradise for skiers and snowboarders has large numbers of perfectly groomed slopes to suit beginners, advanced and professionals. Reliable, high-quality snow and state-of-the-art lifts guarantee the best conditions from the end of November to the beginning of May. Untouched powder runs and the Obertauern Snowpark, a top-class fun park, will make freeriders, boarders and freestylers hearts beat faster.
